When one is looking to obtain a noise reduction by the means of a silencer, ITS offers a wide range of noise reduction devices for chillers / cooling systems for all applications related to acoustic insulation / soundproofing related to the protection of workers against noise, the preservation of acoustic environment, the limitation of noise emissions in the energy sector.

ITS offers powerful solutions at a reasonable cost in response to all the needs in the matter of soundproofing (preventive or curative) by the means of equipment (standard or tailor made) for which the quality of design and of execution meets the highest level of requirement in this area for an efficient fight against noise.

Thenoise reduction devices for chillers / cooling systems offered by ITS allow (depending on the case) to limit noise due to air inlet or/and to air outlet.

The noise level close at hand is generally well below the lower values of exposure of workers to noise trigging action and the noise levels in environment are generally well below the limits imposed by regulations in order to avoid sound nuisance.

They can allways be disinstalled for maintenance actions.

They are usually made of metallic splitters with a mineral fiber filling (and make depending on the case: walls and/or roof of the housing aiming at noise limitation). Some of those construction elements may have an insertion loss Di that can reach 50 dB as a standard for medium high frequency (a higher performance can be obtained by the means of special constructions).

Regarding products and construction systems proposed by ITS their performance is measured in laboratory according to the current standard:

  • ISO 7235 Acoustics - Laboratory measurement procedures for ducted silencers and air-terminal units - Insertion loss, flow noise and total pressure loss

The noise reduction devices for chillers / cooling systems proposed by ITS can be delivered as a kit ready to assemble with assembly instructions or be installed turnkey.

A guarantee of acoustic performance on site is issued for each installation of noise reduction devices for chillers / cooling systems . The verification can be conducted according to standard NF EN ISO 11820 Acoustics - Measurements on silencers in situ.

silencer for an aerocondenser (air outlet)

The noise reduction devices for chillers / cooling systems offered by ITS are robust constructions with quality finishes ensuring a high durability and for which a precise sizing and a tailor made design allow to optimize the aerodynamic performance for an appropriate operation of the equipment and a maximal performance.

In some cases (especially if several equipments are involved), silencers for chillers / cooling systems are integrated in works for managing access and preventing the phenomenon of recycling. Such works include partitions (with acoustic performance) for performing the binding and to ensure continuity of sound insulation between the soundproofing equipment for openings that are silencers for chillers / cooling systems with respect to such works.

They are usually made of coated metallic soundprrofing panels with an insulation made of mineral fiber (walls, roof and if needed: floor) and equipped with painted metallic acoustic doors (rotating or sliding) and of acoustic windows with safety glass. Some of those construction elements may have a sound reduction index Rw that can reach 52 dB as a standard (a higher performance can be obtained by the means of special constructions).

Regarding products and construction systems proposed by ITS their performance is measured in laboratory according to current standards:

  • their sound reduction index according to the standards NF EN ISO 140-3 Acoustics - Measurement of sound insulation in buildings and of building elements - Part 3: laboratory measurement of airborne sound insulation of building elements and EN NF 717-1 Rating of sound insulation in buildings and of building elements Part 1: airborne sound insulation
  • their sound absorption coefficient according to the standards NF EN ISO 354 Acoustics - Measurement of sound absorption in a reverberation room and NF EN ISO 11654 Sound absorbers for use in buildings - Rating of sound absorption
