In a printing workshop, a rotary press is a very powerful noise source potentially causing sound nuisance for the personnel operating in the vicinity (in production halls) and sometimes also for the neighborhood. It is often necessary to use in such cases a high-tech industrial soundproofing equipment (soundproofing partion) to ensure the conformity of the facility with respect to the legislation on noise in workplaces and sometimes also with respect to the regulations in terms of fight against domestic noise.

ITS will participate in the construction of soundproofing partitions for 2 rotary presses (printing industry) Near marseille in the region Provence Alpes Côtes d'Azur (France).

Those soundproofing devices will offer a sound reduction particularly important at medium and high frequency where the maximum of the noise emission of the enclosed noisy equipments is, requiring a specific design and a specific construction of the soundproofing partitions walls.

Related features such as visibility for the operation of the machines, access for maintenance work, disassembly of some subsets of the soundproofing equipments ... will be integrated according to the needs for the soundproofing partitions for those rotary presses.

It comes to metal constructions, with modular acoustic insulation panels, being removable (up to 6 meters high in one piece) which have the advantage of being easily extended in case of modification of the printing lines and easily reimplanted when relocating a rotary press to another printing site. Large glazed areas (up to 3 meters high in one piece) allow, from the outside, the monitoring of the mechanical parts which require a visual control, for the good opration of the machine, not only from the control stand, but also from other workstations and from traffic aisles where noise levels are below the statutory limits for employee's protection against noise.

When one seeks a control of the climatic conditions (temperature and hygromety), influencing the quality of the printing, and when one opts for the implementation of an air conditioning system, the soundproofing partitions for rotary presses offered by ITS also allow the limitation of thermal losses, due to the low thermal conductivity of panels filling and of glazing, to which is associated a high thermal resistance (the airtightness required for the acoustic performance of the construction being of course favorable for the limitation of the transfer of water vapor).

In France, and elsewhere in the world, many printers are not mistaken, making the choice of soundproofing partitions for rotary presses (printing industry) such as those marketed by ITS for their technical performance and their robustness, synonymous with durability.
