When one is looking to the reduction of the reverberation of a room by the means of the implementation of sous-absorbing materials, ITS offers a wide range of suspended ceriling tiles for soundproofing industrial workplaces for many applications related to reverberation control related to the protection of workers against noise.
Suspended ceiling tiles for soundproofing industrial working premsies are sound absorbing elements light enough to be installed, by means of a metal framework consisting of beams and spacers, on the underside of the roof of a building, to limit the reverberation of the noise on the partitions, such as to increase, else, the level of noise exposure of the workers.
A common indicator of acoustic performance in relation to the use of suspended ceiling tiles for soundproofing industrial working premises is the decay of the noise level by doubling distance at the source, which can be measured before and after soundproofing, so as to evaluate the gain obtained with such a solution for acoustic treatment, which has the advantage of not imposing on the ground level of a workshop constructive systems (hoods, enclosures, screens) likely to create constraints in terms of traffic, access for the maintenance of machines or installations.
An increase in the decay of the sound level by doubling distance to the source is associated with a decrease in the ambient sound levels, which is the goal sought, in fine, for a workspace.
In France, the applicable regulations in this area are the Decree of August 30, 1990 taken for the application of article R. 235-11 of the labor code and relating to the acoustic correction of work premises which fixes the decrease in sound level by doubling the distance from the source which must be that of these premises so as to reduce the reverberation of noise on the walls :
- in a room empty of any machine or production facility: 2 dB(A) for not more than 210 m2 to 4 dB(A) for 4600 m2 or more
- after installation of production machinery and equipment: 3 dB(A) for at most 210 m2 to 4 dB(A) for 1000m2 or more
Compliance with this regulatory constraint is often a sufficient reason for soundproofing industrial workplaces, for which the implementation of suspended ceiling tiles (on condition that they have a coefficient sound absorption as close as possible to 100%, at least at medium and high frequencies, which is the case with those marketed by ITS), constitute an effective means (it is true: especially since the height under the ceiling is weak).
In addition, the suspended ceilings tiles for soundproofing industrial working premises, when made of mineral fiber, have a low thermal conductivity, which thus makes it possible to limit the heat losses of a building, thus participating in the improvement of the thermal comfort (essential environment factor at work, as acoustic comfort) and the rationalization of related energy investments.
ITS offers suspended ceiling tiles for soundproofing industrial working premises to control reverberation and prevent acoustic nuisance and noise pollution.
The evaluation, in advance, of the acoustical efficiency that can be expected at the end of their installation (which can be the subject of a commitment of result, if the works are entrusted to a partner fiiting company) can be carried out by the human resources of ITS, either by means of calculation tools developed in-house , or by means of commercial software packages .
