Construction of an acoustic partition to limit the noise propagation related to the operation of an offset rotary press
In a printing workshop, a rotary press is a very powerful noise source potentially causing sound nuisance for the personnel operating in the vicinity (in production halls) and sometimes also for the neighborhood. It is often necessary to use in such cases a high-tech soundproofing equipment to ensure the conformity of the facility with respect to the legislation on noise in workplaces and sometimes also with respect to the regulations in terms of fight against domestic noise.
Design of a soundproofing enclosure for a sub set of a gas turbine with high power output
In a power plant with gas turbines (combustion turbines), some airborne noise is emitted by the various subsets making up each turbomachinery (in addition to noise emissions associated with the mouths for air intake and exhaust not included in the current project, although regularly studied and subject of simulation and design work by ITS as part of other projects in the field of energy production):
- the turbine compartment i.e. compressors, combustion chamber, turbine
- the auxiliary...
Improvement of the acoustic ambiance of a school restaurant / canteen by the means of perfectly matched acoustical screens and absorbing wall lining
Like many other premises in the tertiary sector, school restaurants (canteens) are spaces of everyday life in which the reverberation should be limited to control ambient sound levels, for the well being of occupants that are both children and supervisory staff. It is often necessary to use in such cases special equipment in terms of architectural acoustics (i.e. in terms of sound insulation in buildings) to ensure the habitability requirements for those spaces to which are applicable...
